I mean, I agree in that I would 100% trade my life to have that, and I'm lazy and apathetic enough to probably be 100% happy not playing at all and making that bank... but it's all relative - he's a professional basketball player who wants to play basketball. It's perfectly reasonable for him to be upset or even depressed that he can't play the game he loves/has worked his whole life on, whether he's making a ton of money or not. Money isn't everything. How many extremely wealthy pro athletes have come out in the past year or so about their struggles with depression, anxiety, etc? They're still humans.

And despite that the Lakers managed to get LeBron. But honestly, yeah, really crippling contracts. No idea why Mitch and Jim signed both of them at the start of free agency.
As for Deng, i hope he gets to play at least some minutes in another team. Dude deserves that at least. Past his prime, yes, but a humble guy both on and off the court. Wish him a happy retirement too.
